Overview
Background


Gantri's mission is to empower designers to bring designs to life using on-demand 3D printing techniques. By leveraging innovative manufacturing methods, Gantri can produce unique products rapidly—reducing waste, lowering carbon emissions, optimizing storage, minimizing labor, and cutting overall costs.
Research

Mid way through the rebrand we reached out to various types of customers—including both consumers and vendors.
We asked them questions to get to know more about them and why they chose to purchase from Gantri. From these insights, we established personas and journey maps to understand purchase flows and identify key touchpoints.
Customers found Gantri unique not only for its creative modern design but also for offering luxury at an approachable price, along with a commitment to sustainable materials and processes.
Process



As a manager for the design team, I ensured that we consistently delivered high-quality work while managing schedules and expectations.
This balance was achieved through weekly check-ins, Asana updates, and targeted improvements/automations in our spec documentation. One key example was our design process document.
Brand



Once we tackled the immediate operational needs, the next phase was to establish a more cohesive external brand.
The first step was to conduct a complete brand audit to evaluate our current state and identify areas for improvement.
With this foundation, we updated every touchpoint—from our photography to our website and collateral.
Design System



I felt that to best establish this direction and set a foundation for us to easily scale we needed a robust design system in place.
We established a improved foundation library that reflects our "rebel" brand, followed by a comprehensive component library that takes those brand traits and make them come to life.
Along with the components themselves, we also generated guidelines and doucmentation for the library. This helping establish shared understanding across the org.
Outcome




Accomplishment & Learnings
- Built a reusable component library that is now integrated to all applications
- Built out documentation and resources to establish more alignment and thoughtful thinking
- Built a culture that thought more systematically in terms of our UI
- Website redesign helped increase annual revenue by at least 3x
- Saw a 2x percent increase of users that add products to cart
- Rolled out a new rebrand
- Introduced more clarity regarding process and value props.
